“We are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both those facts…is that the universe is in us.”

If you can’t see anything beautiful about yourself, get a better mirror; look a little closer; stare a little longer. Because there’s something inside you that made you keep trying despite everyone who told you to quit. You built a cast around your broken heart and decided to yourself, you decided THEY WERE WRONG.

[The Netflix C.E.O. Reed Hastings] figured that the best way to keep customers was to personalize the experience using algorithms that churned their viewing histories. Advice from a former me.
Don’t ever give up on your dreams.
We shouldn’t have been happy, for so many reasons. I’m not sure either of us believed we deserved that. But for a while, for this beautiful moment in time, we were happy, weren’t we? And I felt justified in every mistake I’d ever made because they’d led to you. But you were right, we’re not living in a fairytale. In reality, happiness comes at high price. The demons you escape will return with armies. The changes you’re afraid to make will cost you everything. It’s a dark story, and most of it is unbelievable. But it’s time to face the truth, now that I have nothing left to lose.
